Plants

Now we have only greenplants and if we have ordering, then we have some basic plants like canrantions, roses, chrysanthemum. It depends what customers was ordered.

Now there is some greenplants like:

Peikonlehti

• Blades of leaves are young intact, but over time they have great, deep grooves and holes. 

• Enjoys high humidity. Spray regularly non-lime water with a spray bottle.

Reunustraakkipuu

• Easy-care plant with elongated shiny green leaves. Air purifying plant. Enjoys a bright spot, but also in a midrange setting. 

• Wet when the mold is dry; about once a week.

Kuningaspegonia

• Easy to care, with beautiful prints featuring stunning patterns and color combinations. It can withstand mild dryness.

•  Wet when the mold is slightly dry. Spends in bright and midrange locations. Avoid direct sunlight.

Also there is some cut flowers, if we have a order

Tulip, roses, carnations, eucalyptus and so many others :)

It depends what season is and what we do in there.

Hi!

Hello I'm Janna! I study in Finland. The city is Hyvinkää and my school called Hyria. I study gardening :) My studies take three years.

In the next five post I tell you what I do in Hyria. So if garden works  interested you I think you should continue reading !

Safety and our uniform

We have to use gloves and protective outfit, if we do something what can be damaged for us.

Usually we use gloves always if works is something dirty.



If we have to deal with pesticides, we have a special protective suit and mask.
Normal day we do not have special outfit, so we came our normal outfit in school.




If something happen we have First aid cabinet inside. And everyone who works in there must know how to help in emergency situations.

Works

So, what we do when we are there? 

It depends what season is, summer and winter (Christmas season) is busy time.
Usually we practise our flowers skills and if someone needs help we helped.
In spring we seed and we take care of little plants. And in summer we sells what we were seed in spring.

 And in Christmas season we have lots of Christmas works to do, like we decorated flower arrangement. Of course we also serve customers if they need help.

The tools we use

We use a lot of different tool when we work  there. I can tell something generals tools what we use.

First we use flower knife. Its used for cutting flowers.

 <--Second, we have flower scissors/ metal scissors

Then we have secateurs and its use for cutting branches



We have also so much different papers and lots of what we use when we do flowers works.

But then we have basic tools like wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes etc...

Premises

Premises

There is three greenhouses inside and one interior. One small greenhouse is located outside and we have one big greenhouse. In the interior is flower and garden shop and behind that is a space where you can make all the products which go for sale.

This is one of greenhouses, the other two are smilar.

This is packing table and behind that is two cold cabinet for flowers.
